This test is recommended is a person experiences one of more of the following: 1. Chest pain 2. Shortness of breath 3. Palpitations 4. Hypertension 5. Arrhythmia The ECG test collects information about your heart's conditions by detecting electrical activities in your heart. This is done with the helps of ECG Electrodes. ECG Electrodes are sticker like sensors which are stuck to a patient's chest wall and sometimes to his arms and legs.
These electrodes are connected by wires to a machine, which produces a print out of a reading displaying the electrical activity of the heart. Based on this reading doctors can determine the condition of a person's heart health. Source: Ames Medical Services
